Firefighters called to house in Roundhay after kitchen catches light

Firefighters have been called to a kitchen fire at a house in Roundhay.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service went to the scene on Norton Road at about 12.30pm.

A boiler and kitchen were on fire.

One fire engine from Moortown and two from Killingbeck were called out along with a fire investigation officer.

Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one large jet and positive pressure ventilation fans to put out the fire.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said smoke alarms were fitted and working inside the property.
