Fire engines called to Leeds opticians blaze

A blaze broke out at a Leeds opticians after the cellar caught fire this morning (Monday).

Two fire engines were called to Eye2Eye opticians, in Roundhay Road, Oakwood, at 10.10am.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started in the cellar and crews extinguished flames in three consumer units inside the basement of the building.

Engineers from Northern Power Grid also attended the scene.
