Fine dining and funds for food in Leeds

A Leeds fine-dining restaurant is hosting a festive evening of song, food and drink in aid of the charity Action Against Hunger.

‘Sing For Your Supper’ is an event that chef and HOME co-founder, Elizabeth Cottam, has traditionally held at her own home in west Leeds for the last four years but now wants to extend the invitation.

She said: “Each December I would invite a group of friends around along with the local church choir, sing carols and I would cook for everyone.

“I would have a whip round at the end and all the money would be donated to various causes. Now Mark and I have the restaurant I want to open the event to the whole of Yorkshire and use our reputation to help promote this wonderful charity.”

On Tuesday December 12, St Paul’s Church Choir of Drighlington will lead diners at the restaurant in a Christmas sing-along followed by a yuletide feast prepared by Elizabeth, business partner Mark Owens and their team. Tickets cost £42 – the exact amount it costs to save the life of a malnourished child.

Mrs Cottam added: “Because the team at HOME is all about food and people, it made complete sense to team up with Action Against Hunger.”
