And that's no different for this pair of Gannets who were snapped having an emotional moment, giving one another a hug.

The pictures, taken by 52-year-old amateur photographer Kev Barwell, certainly warm the soul, and show two loved-up Gannets showing each other a little bit of affection on the east coast of Yorkshire.

Taken at RSPB Bempton, not far from Bridlington, where there is a huge breeding colony earlier in the year, these image show two of the sea birds with their wings wrapped around each other - as if embracing one another.

Kev said: "Gannets are my favourite of all sea birds.

"There is a huge breeding colony of them each year at RSPB Bempton as there are at some other wonderful locations around the UK. The RSPB Bempton website as some great information on them.

"I visit Bempton as often as I can as I just love the place. It has beautiful scenery, amazing views and such a wonderful array of seabirds."
