Fears for safety of missing 12-year-old girl in Leeds

Police say they are “increasingly concerned” for the welfare of a 12-year-old girl who has gone missing in Leeds.

Alesha Daniel-Howell was last seen at about 8.45pm yesterday in the Chapeltown area of the city.

She is described as black, 5ft and of medium build with long black hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing dark-coloured jeans, a black bomber jacket and dark shoes.

She is known to frequent both Chapeltown and Leeds city centre.

Leeds District CID’s Det Sgt James Gross said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alesha as time goes on and we would like to hear from anyone who knows her whereabouts or who has any information that could assist in tracing her.”

Anyone with information is asked to ring West Yorkshire Police’s 101 number, quoting log reference 1591 of September 1.
