Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cooke has been filling dance floors internationally for two decades, causing more storms in tea cups and going down in Brighton folk law since his legendary performance at Brighton Beach, which attracted over 250,000 revellers for a show.

And now he is headed to the newest club and music venue in the city - The Church.

He will be joined on stage by the club’s very own Dave Beer who has been at the centre of the Leeds music scene for over 20 years.

The club said: “Expect the unexpected from what is set to be a an outstanding performance. It’s not often you’ll have the chance to witness two DJ’s that have experienced and

influenced music history in the same way as these pioneering individuals. Don your best Hawaiian shirt and join us for what is set to be our biggest show to date.”

Recalling how he was roped in to play the venue at Woodhouse Lane Fatboy Slim told City Buzz: “It all started very late one night whilst I was DJ-ing at the Rabbit Hole at Glastonbury this summer. “It was very noisy and Dave Beer can be a difficult man to understand when he is overexcited and all I could make out was ‘my new club.....in old church......wanna play?’ “He had me at Dave Beer..”
