Cult American fast food chain Taco Bell is opening a site in Leeds.

The Mexican-themed eatery only has a small number of UK outlets, including Manchester and Sheffield, but is now seeking planning permission to open in a unit in the St John's Centre.

Up to 40 staff will be employed at the restaurant, which famously sells £1 tacos.

The mall's owners, Valad Europe, are hoping to attract exciting new tenants to compete with Trinity Leeds and Victoria Gate.
