Fancy a Sinfield Burger? Leeds Rhinos legend Sir Kev makes a tasty name for himself

Now Kevin Sinfield is aiming to show he also has the right ingredients to be a winner in the kitchen.

Sir Kev has teamed up with the Arc Inspirations bar and restaurant group to launch a new Sinfield Burger.

Described as “a large, healthy burger with loads of extras”, the tasty treat is being sold at the Arc, Trio and Box bars in Headingley.

A slice of the proceeds from sales of the burger – which has been created with the help of Arc Inspirations food development manager John Richold – will be donated to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation charity.

And today foundation vice president Sinfield gave his seal of approval to the finished product when he paid a visit to Arc.

The former Rhinos skipper said: “It has been great fun working with John and his team at Arc Inspirations to come up with this new burger.

“I think it tastes great and I hope everyone else agrees so that it helps raise as much money as possible for Leeds Rhinos Foundation to support the outstanding work they do throughout the Leeds community.”

The Sinfield Burger comprises a piri-piri marinated chicken breast with chorizo, salsa, sour cream, avocado salsa, jalapenos, tomato, red onion and gem lettuce in a brioche bun with a whole pickled chilli.

Sinfield led Rhinos to a magnificent trophy treble last season before crossing codes to join rugby union side Yorkshire Carnegie.

The foundation’s director of operations, Bob Bowman, said: “We would like to thank Arc Inspirations for making this donation to our charity and we hope all Rhinos fans will call into one of their Headingley bars to try out the new Sinfield Burger and make it their number one seller.

“Kevin Sinfield has continually supported Leeds Rhinos Foundation throughout his career as Rhinos captain and now at Yorkshire Carnegie and to have someone of his calibre and standing in the community as our charity’s vice president is a huge honour.”

Sinfield’s visit to the Arc today also gave fans the chance to get signed copies of his new book, My League Years In Words And Pictures.
