The funeral of a woman who is believed to have been killed by her partner before he took his own life was due to take place today.

Margaride Rufino, 38, was found dead along with Anthony Roberts, 37, at their home in Idle, Bradford, on January 31.

Ms Rufino, who set up Leeds Occupational Health Limited in 2005 with her business partner, Dr Jacqueline Senior, was due to be cremated at Rawdon Crematorium today in what was described as a private family service.

Officers found the bodies of the couple after a neighbour heard banging coming from their house and raised the alarm.

Ms Rufino, who was known as Guida, had suffered severe neck injuries while Mr Roberts had a severe stab wound to his leg. Attempts to revive him failed.

While they have not confirmed that the incident was a murder-suicide, police have said they are not looking for anyone else.

Ms Rufino was described as a “devoted” mother to a two-year-old girl, who was at a relative’s house when the couple died.
