Ey up '“ charity marks Flat Cap Friday in aid of brain tumour research

supporters of a Leeds-based charity donned their best Yorkshire headgear to mark the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

Flat Cap Friday was held by Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire (BTRS) with events at the charity’s shop in Headingley.

Flat cap designer Rhian Kempadoo Millar backed the event for the third year, showing off a range of her hats which are designed and produced in the region.

Visitors could have their picture taken in a photo booth donated by The Pop-Up Booth, while musicians Sarah Widdup, Beth Mallison and Alexandra Sorley performed live and a special cake was donated by Board to Tiers in Morley.

Sorrell Coulson, BTRS events and fundraising manager, said: “The support from local businesses has been wonderful and it is great to see so many people getting involved with this year’s campaign.”
