Loads of Leeds’s best bars, cracking cocktails and no need to trek half way across the city to get your fizz fix and satisfy your lust for a Long Island Iced Tea.

The Cocktail Experience is back with a bang and next month will see 16 of the city’s trendiest and most popular bars take over Aspire for one night of cocktail heaven.

They will bring to the party a cocktail that they have created especially for the occasion after being paired with a premium spirit brand.

It is up to you to try them out and decide which is the best and City Buzz has been given a flavour of what’s in store at the event on Friday October 20.

Cocktail Experience veterans, starting with Jakes, have teamed up with Grey Goose to create the cheeky Perci Pig Juice. Maven’s Ketel One creation is The South Pacific and Oracle hopes to reign supreme with their melon and Bacardi-fuelled Alice’s Adventures?

But this year has already seen the launch of several new bars and brands and they too will be putting themselves in the mix.

Tattu has been one to capture the interest of the foodies since its early summer arrival in Leeds and hopes to show what they are all about with an Asian-inspired creation entitled The Elixir of Life, which features Jinzu Gin.

For a bite of the Big Apple East 59, who will be bringing a New York city flavour to the party with their Ciroc collaboration, The Midtown.

Also taking inspiration from New York will be Neighbourhood, who are the recently opened addition to Greek Street, having wowed the jet-set over in Manchester for the last few years. They’ve cosied up with Tanqueray 10 to produce their pretty pink Cute AF cocktail.

Some of the more well-known bars such as The Alchemist, Revolucion De Cuba and The Botanist are also signed up.

Guest DJ’s will be providing the soundtrack for the night.

The Cocktail Experience is being organised by city party planning experts Hairy Lemon and Pink Gorilla who have staged some of this year’s most extravagant launch parties such as Issho and Red Door.

Jordan Odu, Director of Pink Gorilla, said: ‘’After a blistering 2016 of Leeds launches and our very own sell-out event in March, we wondered how we’d top it, but Leeds has smashed it in 2017 and is now rivalling Manchester as the country’s premier party city.

“We’re delighted to see the return of the city’s most established brands, as well as newcomers such as Red Door, Tattu and East 59. We’ve always focused on the party aspect of our events, to ensure the night is as much about having fun as it is showcasing the biggest and best cocktail bars Leeds has.

“I’m confident this will be our best night to date and is a great way to kick off the party season in style.”

Early bird tickets are £15 which includes two cocktails, and additional drinks for £5 each. Standard tickets are £15 for entry and one cocktail.

There are 200 exclusive ‘Golden Tickets’, at £25, which includes a welcome cocktail, plus two cocktails.

The full list of bars is Alchemist, Angelica, Bar Soba, Botanist, East 59th, Jake’s Bar, Manahatta, The Maven, Neighbourhood, Oracle, Pintura, Red Door, Revolucion de Cuba, Tattu, Vice and Virtue, Man’s Market.
