Tasty fun for all ages will be on offer this weekend when an annual food festival returns.

The Foodies Festival, held at Ripley Castle in Harrogate, kicks off on Friday and includes TV chefs, cooking shows and workshops for youngsters.

It is running for only the second year after attracting more than 25,000 visitors to the town in 2015.

Chef Simon Jewitt, from Harrogate’s Norse restaurant, will cook his signatures dishes alongside local chefs and Masterchef contestants for visitors inside the festival’s Aga Rangemaster Chefs Theatre.

And budding chefs can also try their hand in the kitchen with special cookery lessons aimed at children.

The event runs from Friday until Sunday.

There will also be a vintage tea tent, artisan market, giant Pimm’s teapot, street food stalls and live music on offer for visitors.
