Everything you need to know about Leeds' proposed new ice rink

Leeds could be on the verge of FINALLY having its own public ice rink after years of proposals.

The Leeds rink is listed on Planet Ice's website as 'coming soon' - re-igniting hope that an opening date may finally be confirmed.

Taking a look around Planet Ice's other locations, we start to build a picture of the offerings that could be making their way to Leeds.

Planet Ice currently have 13 rinks around the UK, in Altrincham, Basingstoke, Blackburn, Cannock, Coventry, Gillingham, Gosport, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Solihull, Uttoxeter and Widnes, with their Leeds operation marked as "coming soon".

Venues include different activities, including ice hockey and dancing events, while locations also offer lessons for beginners wanting to learn how to skate.

They offer birthday parties and memberships so that you can skate for cheaper if you're an avid lover of the ice.

Some locations (Basingstoke, Coventry, Gillingham, Peterborough, Milton Keynes & Uttoxeter) have also partnered with Papa John's pizzas to offer a tasty treat, while other offer a menu that includes the likes of burgers, jacket potatoes and burgers.
