A PAIR of Santa's helpers made a flying visit to Leeds to promote this week's EuroMillions draw - when 25 people will become millionaires.

Christmas crackers Kim and Rowan, accompanied by Santa's most famous reindeer, Rudolph and Blitzen, popped into the Londis Store on Woodhouse Street, Leeds, to get their tickets for the draw on Christmas Eve.

The Millonaire Raffle guarantees to make one UK player a millionaire every Friday – but this week, 25 people will bank 1m in time for Christmas.

The draw will smash the existing world record for the most millionaires in a single draw, a record held by the National Lottery after the Big Draw 2000, held on New Year's Eve 1999.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "Everyone will be excited about the Christmas Eve draw; it will be amazing to create 25 millionaires and hopefully smash the world record.

"1m must surely be the ultimate Christmas gift and for 25 ticketholders, this is guaranteed to be the most amazing Christmas Day ever."
