Groundwork team get back to basics in West Leeds

Have your say

Green crusaders swooped down on to a Leeds housing estate to work their magic on a series of grot spots.

Around 50 staff from environmental charity Groundwork got their hands dirty for an action-packed afternoon of litter picking on the Clydes Park.

The green team spent the day cutting back vegetation, clearing the alleyway behind the local school and tidying up around the community centre. They were joined by volunteers from solicitors Gateleys.

The event was to raise awareness of a national campaign to transform local parks.
