Emmerdale ‘bad girl’ Claire King set to return to screens in Celebrity Big Brother

Have your say

Former Emmerdale star Claire King is among the 14 stars set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house tonight.

King is best known for roles as devious Kim Tate in Emmerdale and hard-nosed governor Karen Betts in the ITV prison drama Bad Girls.

The actress has said she is nothing like the “hard-bitten man-eaters” she has played, adding: “I’m really a very down-to-earth, country girl at heart.”

King, who has also had turns in Hollyoaks and Casualty and was a Strictly Come Dancing contestant in 2006, will be joined in the house by the likes of Benefits Street’s White Dee and boxing champ Audley Harrison.

Ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan and former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney – who is the favourite to win – will also be in the house.

Celebrity Big Brother - hosted by Emma Willis - is now in its 14th series. Tonight’s launch, on Channel Five at 9.05pm, comes just three days after the most recent run of the normal Big Brother came to a close.
