Emergency services have been alerted to a multi-vehicle collision on the M62 in West Yorkshire this morning.

The crash happened at around 7am on the westbound stretch of the motorway between junction 23 for Huddersfield and junction 22 for Rishworth Moor.

Highways England said the collision involved 'multiple vehicles' and is causing severe delays.

Two lanes of the motorway are blocked.

A spokesman said: "Road users are advised to allow extra time to complete their journey plans if travelling in this direction."
