Efit released after attempt robbery in Leeds

Police have released an efit of a man they want to trace after an attempted robbery in Leeds.

The victim, a 44-year-old woman, was walking on Town Street in Beeston at about 9.30am on Tuesday March 11, when she was approached by a man who tried to snatch her handbag.

He pushed her to the floor during the struggle but fled empty handed when he was disturbed by a witness.

The man is described as white, aged 30-40, of medium build and with a round face.

DC Ian Johnson, of Leeds District CID said: “The victim was left very shaken by this incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw the man in the area or who recognises him from the efit image.”
