Important dates ahead of A-level results day

With A-level results day 2015 on the horizon, a list of key Ucas application and Clearing deadlines:

Wednesday, 12 August: Clearing vacancy search opens at 6pm.

Thursday, 13 August: A-level Results Day - a check list:

Your Ucas Track login details - 8am – Ucas Track goes live.

Monday, 31 August: Ucas’ Adjustment process closes - this allows those that have done better than expected in exams to look into attending a better university than those already offered.

21 September: final deadlines for applications must be in by 6pm.

30 September: Clearing vacancy search closes, last opportunity to search for Clearing vacancies through Ucas. After today, you will have to contact any university direct to discuss availability.

21 October: Clearing closes.

'Brainy' Daniel Long, 15, hanged himself in February 2017 after he developed acute anxiety whilst revising for his GCSEs. He was discovered unresponsive by his heartbroken mum Emma Oliver, 43, who had rushed upstairs when she heard a loud bang coming from his bedroom. Emma desperately tried to save him with CPR while a neighbour called 999, but Daniel was rushed to hospital where he was put on life support.
