THOUSANDS of shopping-mad students descended on Trinity Leeds for a special ‘lock-in’ event.

More than 22,000 young shopaholics splashed their cash at the shopping centre as part of the Student Lock-In, which was held on Monday, September 29.

The huge crowd clogged up Briggate and the surrounding streets before the doors eventually opened at 7.30pm.

The event offered visitors the chance to make the most of special discounts, games, competitions and giveaways.

There was also a free photo booth, a penalty shoot out competition, pamper lounge, make up and hair studio, DJs and dancers to entertain shoppers.
