Residents in Barwick in Elmet are playing a waiting game after Yorkshire in Bloom judges paid a visit to the village.
The judges were shown around Barwick’s stunning floral displays during a three-hour inspection that took place on Friday.
Now members of the Barwick in Bloom group must wait until September to find out how they have fared in the competition.
Group secretary Geoff Yapp told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We thought the visit went very well. The judges were a delight to show round.
“Everyone in the village had pulled out all the stops to make the place look its best.”
