MEMBERS of the Scholes in Bloom group are celebrating a slice of national recognition for their horticultural handiwork.

Scholes picked up a silver gilt award in the large village section of this year’s Britain in Bloom competition.

Judging panel chairman Roger Burnett said: “It is an honour to recognise and celebrate the work these amazing people do to build stronger, healthier and happier communities through gardening.”
