Dozens of straw invaders took over an east Leeds village this weekend.
The ex-straw-ordinary collection of characters from children’s TV and films took pride of place during the annual Methley Scarecrow Festival.
More than 100 scarecrows were placed around the villlage and included Thomas the Tank Engine, Frozen, Barbie and a selection of Disney storybook characters.
Other creations included nursery rhyme characters including Miss Muffet and Barbara Brown’s homage to Humpty Dumpty.
Visitors worked their way through the village with a series of trail maps to signpost their journeys.
The annual event is organised by Methley and Mickletown in Bloom.
