Bekie Harrington-Bell beat off a bevy of other beauties to win the title of Miss Crossgates 2012.

The girls strutted their stuff on the catwalk at the town’s shopping centre, modelling the latest fashions from retailers including Peacocks, New Look, Select and Bonmarche.

Bekie, 24, a project manager, was presented with her winner’s sash and crown by 2011 winner Claire Thomas.

“I can’t believe I’ve won,” she said. “All the girls are lovely and it’s been a great experience.

“The crowds really cheered us on and the clothes made us feel extra special.”

The runners up were Emily Pickles, Gemma Cart, Heather Tasker, Louise Dale, Katie Crowe and Chelsea O’Donnell.
