MEMBERS of Garforth in Bloom are ready to give a new lease of floral life to a local roundabout.

The group will be planting wildflower seeds at the roundabout at junction 47 of the M1 and the A642 Aberford Road, in Garforth, next Sunday, April 19.

Local cubs, scouts, guides and brownies will be coming along to help Garforth in Bloom members sow the seeds.

The project is part of a Royal Horticultural Society initiative called Green Streets, Better Lives.

Local councillors have paid for the seeds while council workers have done their bit by preparing the ground at the roundabout with weed-killing and rotavating.
