At least six fire engines are at Cross Green Industrial Estate to deal with a blaze at a pallet yard, which is thought to have started shortly before 3.30pm.

Firefighters from Gipton, Hunslet, Leeds, Garforth and Moortown fire stations are at the scene.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: “We are currently dealing with large fire in pallet yard, off Pontefract Lane, Leeds.

“No persons injured or rescues required, 6 fire engines.”
