Driver ‘critical’ after car hits tree

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed an accident which left a driver critically injured.

It happened last month on the Leeds outer ring road at Moortown.

The driver, 29, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where he is in a critical condition.

The accident happened around 5am on Wednesday October 28 and involved a a silver Volkswagen Golf, which was driving towards Seacroft, before it crossed onto the opposite carriageway and hit the tree.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision itself or thinks they saw the car before the accident.
