Drama explores women’s role in ‘sari revolution’

A new drama exploring the stories of the women of India’s badlands is showing at West Yorkshire Playhouse this coming weekend.

Pink Sari Revolution tells the tales of the women fighting for change in India’s rural Uttar Pradesh province.

Adapted for the stage by Indian playwright Purva Naresh, and featuring actor Syreeta Kumar in the lead role, Pink Sari Revolution runs from November 7 to 11.
