Distinctive jewellery snatched in Leeds burglary

Jewellery, travellers' cheques and bottles of alcohol were stolen in a burglary at a Leeds home on New Year's Day.

Police are urging anyone who is offered any of the distinctive items of jewellery, which included two rings with coloured stones and gold coloured bands, for sale to contact them.

The items were stolen during a burglary on West Park Road in the Roundhay area of the city, and the haul included bottles of spirits and champagne.

Police have not disclosed the value of the travellers’ cheques that were also taken.

Detective Constable Rob Kennerley of Leeds District Crime Team, said: “We are keen to identify anyone that may have sold or tried to sell these distinctive items of jewellery on in the days after the offence on New Year’s Day.”
