Commuters and residents who live on a popular cross-city bus route are being offered a range of goodies.

Bus operator Arriva Yorkshire has teamed up with businesses in Leeds to organise exclusive discounts at city centre shops.

More than 7,500 people living on the Sapphire 110 bus route - which covers parts of south Leeds - will be sent the discounts in the post.

They include promotions for shops in Leeds city centre including The Corn Exchange, Wapentake and The Tetley, The Craft Centre and Design Gallery.

People will be able to redeem the discounts by showing their Arriva bus ticket to retailers.

The Sapphire 110 runs from Hall Green in Wakefield to Leeds, via Kettlethorpe, Lofthouse, Robin Hood, Bell Isle and Hunslet.

Arriva Yorkshire said the discounts will expire on March 31.
