Main story. A dentist has warned patients who are late he will refuse to treat them until they pay a £1-a-minute surcharge, the Yorkshire Evening Post can reveal. C S Dhaliwal’s surgery at 171 High Street, Heckmondwike, has a sign in the waiting room which warns patients who miss appointments they will not receive treatment until they pay up. The sign states charges will apply thus: £15 for 15 minutes; £30 for 30 minutes; £45 for 45 minutes. A patient who attended the clinic recently, but asked not to be named, said: “I went into the waiting room and notices this sign and I couldn’t believe it.”
