From small beginnings in inner-city Leeds, Phoenix Dance Theatre is now the UK’s longest standing contemporary dance company outside of London.

In celebration of their 35 year anniversary, Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Triple Bill includes two new commissions to celebrate the diversity and collaboration for which the company has become internationally known.

Phoenix Dance Theatre was formed in 1981 by David Hamilton, Donald Edwards and Vilmore James.

Phoenix, which is based in Quarry Hill, has performed in America, Western Europe, South America and the Caribbean.

The company collaborates with international artists on a regular basis.
