The culinary celebration will see some of the city’s best street food traders set up on site, alongside 80 local craft and produce stalls.

The festival will begin on Saturday, April 30, the same day cyclists taking on the Tour de Yorkshire will be racing past the entrance to the estate.

A big screen will be set up in the grounds so those enjoying the festival don’t have to miss any of the action.

The festival also continues on Sunday and Monday, with all three days featuring live music on stages across the site, free children’s entertainment, children’s cookery classes, a fun fair, disco and giant bouncy castles.

Among the sights will be a Man v Food challenge as well as traditional maypole dancing, the Night Flyers Big Band and acoustic music from local artists.

Councillor Brian Selby, Leeds City Council’s lead member for museums and galleries, said: “This food festival is an exciting addition to the wonderful programme of events at Lotherton Hall .
