Woodhouse Lane Leeds stabbing: Police called to man stabbed in street - live updates

West Yorkshire Police officers were called to Woodhouse Lane in the city centre at 2.08pm on Monday.

There, officers found that a man had been stabbed. He has been taken to hospital for arm injuries.

A police cordon has been put in place at a bus stop in the street and the scene is close to the Merrion Centre.

There is blood all over the floor of a bus stop and evidence - a bag with its contents sprawled out - has been cordoned off by police.

The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police said enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called at 2.08pm to report of an incident where a male had been stabbed.

"Male has been taken to hospital for treatment for arm injuries which are not life threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or by using the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting crime reference 13210104188.

"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers."
