Woman suffers serious injury after fight at Leeds pub

A woman has been taken to hospital with a serious hand injury after a fight broke out at a Leeds pub.

West Yorkshire Police were called to The Orchard pub car park in Dib Lane, Oakwood, at 4.56pm, to reports of an "ongoing fight".

A woman has been taken to hospital and two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

It is unclear exactly where the offence took place.

There was a police cordon in the pub car park and several police cars, as well as an ambulance, at the scene late on Friday afternoon.

The pub remains open.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 4.56pm to a report of an ongoing fight where injuries had been reported.

"A woman has been taken to hospital with a serious hand injury and two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray.

"Leeds District CID is continuing enquiries at the scene and anyone with information which may assist is asked to contact them on 101 or by using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

"The log reference is 1288 of 6 March.

"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers."
