A woman has been arrested after an elderly woman was targeted twice by a thief who is believed to have been pregnant.

The 78-year-old victim was at home in Houghley Lane, Bramley, when a woman called on July 20.

The thief, who is thought to have been pregnant, distracted her before stealing cash and jewellery.

In a similar incident on June 30 the same woman called again and stole further valuables.

A 41-year-old woman from Bramley has been arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
