Witnesses wanted after stabbing in West Yorkshire leaves man in hospital

Police are appealing for witnesses after a stabbing in West Yorkshire which left a man needing hospital treatment.

A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the back with a knife by another man on December 12 near the NCP car park on Hall Ings in Bradford.

The assault happened between 5pm and 5.45pm and the suspect made off from the scene.

The victim's injuries required hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as a male who is 5"10 tall, of a slim build and was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses as enquiries continue into a serious assault in Bradford.

"Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw or has information about an incident near the NCP car park on Hall Ings in Bradford on 12 December between 5pm and 5:45pm.

"It took place after the victim, a 35 year-old-man, was attacked by another male and suffered a knife wound to his lower back.

"The suspect then made off, leaving the victim with an injury which required hospital treatment.

"He was described as a male of dual heritage, 5”10, slim build, wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans."

PC Rebecca Brown of Bradford District CID, said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries into this serious assault including potential motives for the attack which left the victim with a stab wound which needed hospital treatment."
