This is why the emergency services responded to an incident at a Leeds tower block tonight

The emergency services attended Cottingley Towers in Leeds this evening, shortly before 8pm.

Leeds residents took to social media after two fire engines arrived at the tower block.

One photograph showed the fire engines at the front of the blocks at around 7.45pm.

However, the fire service confirmed the incident was a cooking-related fire, which was put out.

The fire service crews left the scene shortly after the incident, it was confirmed.
