West Yorkshire Police searching for witnesses after 11-year-old cyclist seriously injured in van crash

An 11-year-old cyclist has been seriously injured after crashing with a van.

It happened just before 9pm on Sunday at the junction of Hawes Road and Hawes Avenue, Bradford.

An 11-year-old boy was riding a bicycle down Hawes Avenue towards the junction when he crashed with a black Toyota Hiace van.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and received emergency treatment. He remains in hospital.

Police are looking to speak to two children who were at the scene on bicycles at the time of the crash.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact police via 101 quoting log number 2005 of August 9.
