The man was detained by police after he had run off. Unfortunately for the suspected burglar, he was caught up with by West Yorkshire Police dog PD Resi.

It goes without saying that the man probably hadn't anticipated being bitten in a... sensitive area.

The incident happened on Thursday, July 16, although police didn't specify exactly where in Leeds it took place.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "PD Resi assisted officers in Leeds on nights, locating and detaining a male who had ran off.

"Regrettably the male sustained an injury to an organ most men would describe as vital, he received immediate medical care and was arrested for burglary and going equipped to steal."
