A West Yorkshire driver hit a pedestrian during an attempted escape from the police.

Officers attempted to pull over the driver in Bradford last week.

However, the driver sped away and had a "minor collision" with a member of the public, police said.

Thankfully, the pedestrian was not injured in the crash.

Police said the driver made off on foot following the incident.

Officers chased the driver and they were found to have no licence, insurance, MOT or tax.

The driver was reported to court for all of the offences, police confirmed.

The car was also seized by the West Yorkshire Roads Policing Unit.

In a tweet, the unit said: "Bradford: Vehicle made off from officers in the snow. Subsequently had a minor collision with a member of the public, thankfully no injuries. Driver made off on foot, but chased and detained. Found to have No Lic/Ins/MOT/Tax. Reported to court for all offences. Car seized #team5"
