Watch shocking moment Leeds cyclist narrowly avoids head-on crash with car on wrong side of Elland Road

James Holden, 41, was driving towards Cemetery Road in Holbeck when he noticed the red car on the wrong side of the road.

James, an IT consultant from Leeds, was just inches from being hit by the vehicle - with no obvious reason for the manoeuvre.

He said it was one of the worst pieces of driving he had witnessed while on the road.

James said: "I capture some dodgy driving every day, but this is about the worst I've seen in a long time.

"Usually it is just people pulling out or changing lanes without looking, or passing very close."

James said he thought he was going to be hit.

He added: "It was quite a shock.

"I thought they'd taken a wide turn pulling out of somewhere, but watching the video later it showed them coming down road the whole way."
