Two people dealers arrested and cash seized in Harehills

Officers from the Gipton and Harehills neighbourhood policing team executed a warrant at a property in the area last week.

Two suspects were arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

A quantity of drugs and money was also seized from the address.

The arrests are part of Operation Dresspark which tackles drug supply in the area,

To date officers from Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Teams have executed 25 warrants.

They have closed five cannabis farms and seized more than 100 bags of the class B drug.

More than £45,000 has also been seized.

The Leeds East team said: "Last week Officers from the Gipton and Harehills Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant targeting Drugs Supply in the Harehills area.

"Two suspects were arrested from the address for Possession with Intent to Supply Class B Drugs and the investigation is on-going at this time.

"To date Officers from Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Teams have completed the following: 25 Warrants Executed, 5 Cannabis Farms Closed, Over 1000 bags of Cannabis Seized and over £45000 in money seized.

"Numerous convictions have been obtained in relation to these warrants ranging from Community Cautions to Custodial Sentences.

"Leeds East Neighbourhood Policing Teams have also worked in Partnership with Leeds Anti-Social Behaviour Team and a total of 21 residential premises have been subject to a Closure Order."
