Police are investigating a shooting and the discovery of a burned out car in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police say that two men, both in their twenties, went to hospital last night following a report of a firearms discharge in Heaton Road, close to the junction with Rose Street at about 10.34pm.

A short time later police were contacted about a burned out vehicle which had been found a short distance away.

This is believed to be linked to the gunshots and has been recovered for further tests while a spokesperson added that the men's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
