A trailer full of parcels worth £250,000 was stolen in Leeds.

The vehicle theft was reported in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit tracked down the trailer within 'minutes' of it being stolen.

It was seized by police with its goods still inside.

The Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "A trailer full of parcels worth £250k was stolen in the early hours in Leeds.

"Officers located the trailer and its goods within minutes and also recovered another vehicle used in the crime.

"Extensive enquiries ongoing."
