In a message on Facebook, the force’s Inner South neighbourhood policing team said officers discovered the farm “after receiving community intelligence that such a set up was ready to be harvested”.

The statement said: “This type of information helps us build a picture about your community and criminals working within it. It also allows us to prevent the drugs from being sold on the streets.

“Please continue to report such information as the accumulation of good intelligence is essential to allow us to take action.”
