“Castleford Tigers now ask could all fans and the media respect Steve’s privacy while he recovers at home with his family.”

It comes after The Tigers handed Leeds one of their heaviest ever defeats in a 66-10 victory last night.

Police were called at 11.56am today and have arrested a 58 year-old man in connection with the incident and he is currently in custody being questioned..
