Three arrested after police chase ends in head on crash in Bramley

Three people have been arrested after a police chase ended with a head on crash in Bramley.

At 9.20pm on Wednesday, a police officers stopped a silver Hyundai Coupe on Upper Town Street.

The Hyundai drove off from the officers.

It was then involved in a head-on crash with a BMW 330D near the junction with Waterloo Lane.

The impact caused the BMW to crash with another car, a Mercedes A Class.

The 44-year-old driver of the BMW received slight injures.

He was treated at hospital and discharged.

A 20-year-old female passenger from the Hyundai was also taken to hospital.

Her injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

The driver of the Hyundai and another passenger, both men aged 26, received slight injuries.

All three were arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and other related offences.

The two men remain in custody.

The woman is continuing to receive treatment in hospital.
