Shocking CCTV footage captured the moment the gang arrive at the home and start smashing their way inside the property on Manorfields Avenue in Wakefield.

The gang struck at the property at around 10pm on Monday night, police said.

One of the gang even wielded a machete as the others attempted to break in to the home.

At one shocking stage of the video, a man dressed in army print yells "Go on, what are you doing?!" at the others - as they continue to kick the door.

The assailant then looks through a window and says: "There’s someone in. There's a little girl in there.”

However, the gang continued to frantically attack the home despite spotting the girl.

The dad of the girl is now offering a £1000 reward for any information which can help police identify the culprits.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the force has launched an investigation.

A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing following an attempted break-in at a house in Crofton, Wakefield.

"The offence occurred at about 10pm on March 2 after around four or five men attempted to break into a house on Manorfields Avenue.

"They failed to force entry and fled the scene.

"Investigations are ongoing any anyone who has information about the attempted burglary should contact Wakefield District CID on 101 referencing crime number 132000111818.

"Information can also given anonymously to the independently Crimestoppers charity 0800 555 111."
