Teenage motorcyclist taken to hospital after Middleton Park Avenue crash

An 18-year-old has been taken to hospital after a crash which closed a road in Middleton.

It happened in Middleton Park Avenue at around 1.30pm today (Monday).

The crash involved the motorcyclist and the driver of a Citroen Berlingo.

The 18-year-old boy was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Road diversions were in place for a short time while investigations were carried out.

Firefighters were also at the scene with paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and officers from West Yorkshire Police.

The road reopened shortly before 3pm.
